Incy had an amazing time writing poems with Lyla, one of her favourite friends, on Tuesday. Emilie Lauren Jones, who is a professional poet, and Coventry’s first poet laureate, gave the girls some ideas. Emilie has written a book for children called A Poetic A-Z of Awesome Animals! Incy wrote an acrostic poem about nature and Lyla wrote an acrostic poem that describes her.
Then they ripped them up 😵 but that’s ok – the poems were written on special seed paper! Next, Emilie showed them how to plant their poems.
