“Mrs Brown says that in London everyone is different and that means anyone can fit in.” This is why London is so lovely 😍
Published in 1958, A Bear Called Paddington was the first ever book about this funny, furry little character from Peru. He has been delighting children and grown-ups ever since.
Michael Bond named his bear character after the station in which he was found by the Brown family. When Michael Bond died, Londoners left little pots of marmalade hidden all over Paddington Station!

Incy adores Paddington Bear as a character, the films and animations, and also the books. She was gifted this collection of 8 books that come in a set called Paddington’s Suitcase. You can buy your very own set here:

This absolutely stunning 8-metre tall mural was painted by Peruvian artist Gisella Stapleton in collaboration with Studio Canal and Global Street Art. It was painted last year (2024) to celebrate the release of film Paddington 3: Paddington in Peru
You can find it just around the corner from Waterloo station in London (turn left as you exit, near the arches), on Sutton Walk (SE1 7PE).
If you have a little person in your life who is a Paddington fan take a look at the Incy Appleseed shop for some books ideas, including Paddington at the Palace, Paddington and the Christmas Surprise and Paddington’s Christmas Post.
