Book- related days out in the UK
Incy had an amazing time at Warwick Castle during half term.
Located in the city of Warwick the castle dates back to the 11th century.

Incy met Zog, a character from the book of the same name by Julia Donaldson. He was so sweet and friendly!

There was so much to do! From the Horrible Histories Maze to storytime in the Princess Tower and of course, playing in the Zog playground. There is also the Falconers Quest: the UK’s largest bird of prey show. We recommend a minimum of 3 hours but you could easily spend the whole day here withe seasonal activities and exploring the castle. Stained glass windows, artefacts and re-enactments from the past bring the castle alive.
During half term a special seasonal event was taking place: the Festival of Archery. Incy had a go at archery herself and also watched the bowman’s show, which was so funny. Incy got involved with the Robin Hood v Legolas debate! 🏹 There were other archers who were all so friendly and chatted to us about the bows they were using before they competed against one another in a competition.
Before the end of the day we climbed along the ramparts of the amazing castle and explored the towers. A visit to Warwick Castle is a wonderful way for children to learn about British history, with displays of past battles and videos to watch. Each school holiday they have something different taking place. Incy highly recommends Warwick Castle for a fun children’s day out. If you have little Zog fans be sure to visit during the school holidays as Zog meet and greets are seasonal!
Thank you, Warwick Castle!
